Skeet Range Rules

  1. All general range safety rules will be followed at all times!
  2. Do not put shells in your gun until you are at your station and it is your turn to shoot.
  3. Put no more than two shells in your gun at a time.
  4. Do not move from station to station with a shell in your gun.
  5. Do not move from station to station until all members of the squad have shot.
  6. Do not pick up your empties until it is safe to do so.
  7. Skeet is also for station practice. You are only required to keep count of targets used.
  8. Do not point, aim, handle, load or unload guns in the clubhouse.
  9. Keep actions open at all times when not on the firing line.
  10. Only target loads are allowed. Approved shot sizes are 7 1/2, 8 & 9.
  11. Hearing and eye protection are required.
  12. The skeet field is closed if either trap field 1 or 2 are active, or if maintenance is being performed on either trap house 1 or 2.
  13. The skeet field is open if and only if at least one squad member, or the field operator, has been instructed on the operation of the skeet houses and has received a key from the club. That person is responsible for the actions of all squad members.
  14. Pre-paid skeet “chits” are to be deposited in the “bank” in the high house prior to the start of the squad.
  15. The skeet field operates on the “honor system.” Be honorable.
