Membership

Welcome to the Membership Department

The Aurora Sportsmen's Club is a private, members-only club that is actively recruiting new members to join the club, get involved and help the ASC grow to reach its potential at its new location in Waterman, IL.  New member candidates must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, free of any felony convictions and compliant with the State of Illinois FOID laws.

How Do I Become A Member?
The application process has been streamlined to allow new members quick access to enjoy all the club facilities soon after the application process begins.
  • Submit a completed application along with a non-refundable $25 application fee.
  • Attend an ASC orientation/safety session at the club.
  • Submit payment including the initiation fee and first year dues, less application fee, and get your membership ID picture taken at the club.
  • Attend a regular monthly general membership meeting for your introduction as a new member.

Orientation/Safety Session

New member orientation/safety sessions are held the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:00am, and on the 4th Thursday of each month at 6:00pm.  All sessions are held at the ASC office on Preserve Road in Waterman.

Membership Sponsors

Applications for membership can be sponsored or non-sponsored.  A sponsor can be normally be found by attending an Open House or by attending any of the numerous club activities that are open to the public.  You can also contact membership@aurorasc.org for information about obtaining a sponsor, or any other questions you may have concerning membership at the Aurora Sportsmens Club.

Member Benefits

Membership includes the unlimited use of ranges for open shooting, accessible 365 days/year; Use of the facilities by the member, spouse, and children under the age of 18; Member rates for education/training classes, trap, skeet, 5-stand, sporting clays and other organized events; Ability to bring up to 3 guests at a time at special guest rates.

Membership Costs

There is a one-time initiation fee of $315 to join the ASC. Our membership year runs from January 1 till  December 31. The annual dues for membership are $315.  The annual dues are prorated downward, monthly, if membership is made after January 31. Payment can be made by cash, check, MC, or Visa.

Work Hours

New members are required to contribute 10 hours of volunteer work during their first year of membership.  Many activities are readily available to fulfill the work requirement.  Work hours are not required after the first year, although they are strongly encouraged, as the ASC is an all volunteer club that depends on its members to grow to reach its full potential.
